Four main benefits of this design (after nearly two years of development)
1) Provides a significantly stronger connection between ground rod and the structure ait is
attaching too (>2X)
2) No more pull through risk. Eliminating the "notch in the stud" locking point, eliminates the
occasional failures associated with the original concept. This design utilizes a conventional
304 stainless-steel bolt head to connect with the ground rod winside the redesigned
4) Cost. By harnessing domestic 3D printing and investment casting (here in Texas) we are freed of
geometric constraints and cost of working with machined parts. Using “consistent” geometry of our new
ground device. This process also guarantees consistently strong 304 ss alloy content.
This design is in response to observations and input from respected senior linemen installing grounds throughout electric grid systems.
In short it retains all the good features of its predecessor, solves known issues, easier install, stronger, better pricing due to simpler build process. Some respected affiliates said it could not be done, Smart grid Design did it!
